Declan Doherty, DEASP Employer Engagement Manager for Donegal, said: “The role of the Department of Employment Affairs & Social Protection has expanded in recent years. In addition to providing weekly payments to jobseekers, the Department, through its local Intreo Centres, also offers a range of education, training and personal development programmes to help jobseekers to get back to work.  With EURES Cross Border Partnership and The Dept. for Communities (DfC) (Northern Ireland) being key partners in this Cross Border Summer Careers Expo, it is a great opportunity for people to meet directly the different sectors with vacancies on offer at the Expo, and is a chance to engage with local employers many of whom are currently recruiting.
