New Chairman appointed to the Pensions Boardby Mary Coughlan Minister for Social and Family Affairs

The Minister for Social and Family Affairs Mary Coughlan has appointed Mr Michael McNulty as Chairman of the Pensions Board.

Mr McNulty, a native of Longford, is a Senior Partner in Ernst and Young with 34 years experience as a Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Institute of Taxation.

Mr McNulty has previous experience in Corporate Finance work and he has served as a non executive director on several boards including An Post and Temple Bar Properties Ltd, and is a former chairman of the Midland and Western Building Society and was Council member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce as well as Chairman of several of the Chambers' committees.

Mr McNulty is married to Peggy a former secondary school teacher and they have three sons.

" I am delighted to appoint Michael to this prestigious post. I know that his wide experience and dedication will be of immense benefit to the Pensions Board, " said Minister Coughlan.
