Earn as you Learn Career Event on New Apprenticeships to be held Cork Training Centre, Bishopstown on Monday, 17 June 2019
Monday 10th June 2019. The Department of Employment Affairs & Social Protection is supporting the following event “Earn as you Learn - Career Event on New Apprenticeships” which will be run by the Cork Training Centre on Monday 17 June 2019. The aim of the event is to promote career opportunities available through an apprenticeship.
Marie O’Flynn, Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection Divisional Manager for Cork urged jobseekers to attend the event: “Since 2016 the range of industries covered by apprenticeships has grown significantly. Jobseekers and job-changers now have a choice of taking apprenticeships with industries such as the Insurance, Finance, Accountancy, Computer and ICT, MedTech, Logistics and the Hospitality sector. And the good news is that more apprenticeships are being developed all the time.”
Apprentices earn while they learn and build valuable work-ready skills in a chosen occupation. Apprenticeships open up exciting and rewarding careers, with learning grounded in the practical experience of undertaking employment.
The event will be held in the Cork Training Centre, Rossa Avenue, Bishopstown and exhibitors attending will include Insurance, Finance, Accountancy, IT and Hospitality. The event will commence at 11am, with short presentations due to be delivered at 12 noon and the event closes at 1pm.
