Monday 27th November


Following on from our weekend clinic at the Community Centre in Mountmellick, we have now assisted 67 individuals/families under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme. More info on the scheme here -​

Friday 24th November


As of 4.30pm today, we have assisted 60 families / individuals under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme. Financial support at this stage is targeted at immediate needs e.g. clothing, food, with further supports available.


Our Community Welfare Officers are available at Mountmellick Community Centre again today, and also at Portarlington Health Centre for people affected by floods


Thursday  23rd November


As of 5.30pm today we have assisted 39 families/individuals in Mountmellick area with payments under the Governments' Humanitarian Assistance Scheme. Financial support is initially targeted at immediate needs (clothing, food) with further support available


Community welfare officers will attend the Maldron hotel in Portlaoise from 2.30pm today to provide information, support and humanitarian assistance payments to people affected by flooding.

This is in addition to the Community Welfare Services at Intreo Portlaoise and at Mountmellick community centre which are already assisting people affected.



Customers in the Mountmellick area who were due to sign on today at Portarlington Branch Office are not required to.



We currently have three Community Welfare Officers onsite at Mountmellick Community Centre to provide support and financial assistance to people affected by the flooding under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme.
