 Introduction

The European Fund for Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) is designed to support Member States in addressing the basic needs of the most deprived people in our community. The Programme is for people  without access to income or living in very poor circumstances. The Programme will work through not-for-profit bodies to fund the purchase of food  and basic material assistance. The distribution of this Fund in Ireland will be known as FEAD Ireland

The European Structural & Investment Funds support economic development across all of the European Union. These Funds make up over half of the European Union’s budget. Here in Ireland these funds will be used, together with Irish Government and Local Authority funding, to invest €6.2 Billion in the 2014-2020 period.
