Feeding Ireland’s Future 2017
20th – 31st March

What is Feeding Ireland’s Future 2017?

Feeding Ireland's Future (FIF) is an initiative whereby retailers, suppliers and service providers to the Irish food and grocery sector give free pre-employment skills to young unemployed people. Feeding Ireland’s Future 2017 will take place from 20th to the 31st March, 2017.

What is involved?

Through CV workshops, interview preparation and interaction with experienced HR people, young people have the opportunity to find out exactly what employers are looking for in a job candidate. They also get a chance to find out more about the wealth of opportunities and may even get to experience first-hand some of the variety of roles available in the food and retail sector.

This is the fourth year of FIF and 4,000 young unemployed people have been offered skills sessions hosted by 47 companies over that period.

This initiative is promoted by ECR Ireland and is conducted in association with the Department of Social Protection’s Intreo service and the Department of Education and Skills’ Youthreach service.
