Minister Doherty Attends Intreo
Careers Fair at Dublin Castle

Hundreds of jobs on offer
 #JobsWeek2019

Thursday, 28 March 2019: The Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty TD today attended the Intreo Careers Fair in Dublin Castle, where hundreds of exciting job vacancies were on offer across a range of sectors. Over 50 Exhibitors* are showcasing today where up to 2,500 jobseekers are expected to attend.
The Careers fair is part of National Jobs Week, organised by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, which is taking place throughout this week (25 – 29 March) with hundreds of Employers and Training Providers involved and with job opportunities showcasing at over 80 events around the country.
Speaking at today’s event, Minister Doherty said:

“This year’s Intreo Careers Fair is our fourth such event and builds on the success of previous years by bringing employers and jobseekers together and matching them together for the benefit of both.  This year, once more, we have employers who are offering job opportunities for a wide range of skills and qualification levels from multiple sectors. Whether someone has an interest in construction, food, tourism,  healthcare, education, retail, finance, IT or the creative industries there is an opportunity to be found this week. The events always generate great energy and enthusiasm among everyone who attends but more importantly they highlight the scale of opportunities available within our growing economy.”

The event today will include CV workshops as well as informative JobsIreland seminars which will be live streamed for those who cannot attend. There will be presentations and discussions on How to Excel at Interviews, Using Social Media to get a Job, re-Entering the Jobs Market, Start your own Business and many others. These seminars and presentations will be streamed online so that jobseekers anywhere can virtually ‘attend’ from their PC, laptop or mobile and listen in on these talks from an excellent line up of Industry professionals.
