Skillnets is a state funded, enterprise-led support body dedicated to the promotion and facilitation of training and upskilling as key elements in sustaining Ireland's national competitiveness.
We support and fund groups of companies in the same region/sector, and with similar training needs, through training networks that deliver subsidised training to Irish businesses and employees. These training networks are led and managed by the enterprises themselves to design, manage and deliver specific training programmes across a broad range of industry and service sectors nationwide.

Skillnets networks also provide free training to eligible unemployed people. All the training courses are industry-specific with some courses offering integrated training with those in employment, which has an added benefit of networking opportunities, and others are dedicated courses in areas of employment potential, that also include a relevant work placement.
