EURES is a network of more than 1,000 EURES advisers (experts in transnational recruitment) which helps jobseekers find work throughout Europe and provides employment information, advice and recruitment services in all EU/ EEA countries.

Before leaving for Ireland you should first look at Irish job opportunities and seek pre-departure advice and information from a EURES Advisers in your own country and/or one of the EURES Advisers based in Ireland . On arrival, one of your first points of contact for assistance in securing employment and other information on Ireland should be an Irish EURES adviser or your local Intreo office (please note a PPS number may be required in order to obtain any of the services offered by Intreo). Your First EURES Job

"Your first EURES job" is a European Union job mobility scheme to help young people (18-35 years of age) find work and to help employers find workers in Europe.
Under Your first EURES job Scheme, EURES can provide you with the following supports:

  • Help with finding a job in Europe
  • Financial support for travel expenses for a job interview
  • Financial support if you relocate to start your new job
  • Other financial support measures, i.e. – recognition of qualification, language course, supplementary relocation allowance

Reactivate

‘Reactivate’ is a European Union job mobility scheme to help unemployed people aged 35+ find work in another EU country.
Under ‘Reactivate’ Scheme, EURES can provide you with the following supports:
  • Help with finding a job in Europe
  • Financial support for travel expenses for a job interview
  • Financial support if you re-locate to start your new job (including extra family support if bringing family along)
  • Financial support to cover a cost of a language course
  • Financial support to cover a cost concerned with recognition of qualifications
