Expenditure Review of Back to Education Allowance Scheme

Print page

The Back to Education Allowance ( BTEA) is an educational opportunities scheme for unemployed people, lone parents and people with disabilities in receipt of particular payments from the DSFA.

This Review examines if the original objectives of the scheme are still valid and determines what the future objectives of the scheme should be. It also evaluates the interactions between the various strands of the scheme and their overall impact on employment and educational policies and programmes across all Government Departments.
