Expand and use your skills to access opportunities in the Engineering and Medical Technology Sector through this specially designed course and gain a Level 6 Industry Recognised Qualification PLUS a paid 3 month work placement for successful participants with leading companies in the North West.

Companies based in the Sligo region including Abbvie, Lindal Group (Litec Moulding), Protek, Ophardt Ireland and Verus Precision, have requirements for skilled workers in engineering process technicians’ roles and are supporting this initiative.

If you have an interest in, knowledge of or experience of Electrical, Electronics, Fitting, Metal Work, Manufacturing Production, Machine Maintenance or Tool Making areas, this course could open up an exciting career for you. The course will cover: GMP; Basic Metrology, Injection Moulding, Basic Electrics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and interpreting drawings.

This part-time course, which is commencing in September, is open to all applicants who are in receipt of jobseeker’s allowance, jobseekers benefit or signing for credits.
