Print page

The Department has a two-year research programme with the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) for the Measurement & Analysis of Household Income & Living Conditions (MAHILC). This analysis is largely based on data from the Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) conducted by the CSO. The outputs of this research programme typically include (1) annual thematic reports with analysis of poverty trends and (2) technical papers on specific poverty indicators or aspects of poverty measurement. The research is published and disseminated at national research seminars/conferences.
