Does social insurance outside Ireland count?

If you were previously insurably employed in a country covered by EC Regulations and you have paid at least one full rate PRSI contribution in Ireland at Class A, E of H, you may combine your insurance record in that country with your Irish PRSI contributions to help you qualify for Health and Safety Benefit. Note:
If you get Health and Safety Benefit while pregnant, you are deemed to satisfy the PRSI contribution conditions for Maternity Benefit.

If you have been getting Maternity Benefit and then apply for Health and Safety Benefit, you are also deemed to satisfy the PRSI conditions for Health and Safety Benefit.

However, you must still fill in a separate application form for each benefit.
