- Budget measures which provided for changes in the conditions and rates of payment for Disability Allowance are not being introduced as planned pending a review which will be undertaken by Ms. Ita Mangan, Chair of the Advisory Group on Tax and Social Welfare.
- New applicants for Disablement Benefit must have a disability classified at more than 15% in order to qualify for the payment.
