Print page

The Family and Community Services Resource Centre Programme was introduced in 1994 to mark the International Year of the Family and to address the perceived gap in statutory support for community development activities focused on support for families and tackling child poverty.

The review of the programme was undertaken as part of a general programmes of expenditure reviews carried out under the Strategic Management Initiative.

The review starts with a background note of the Family and Community Services Resource Centre Programme. Each of the Terms of Reference are then dealt with individually and a summary of the main conclusions/recommendations is provided at the end of each of the individual sections. An executive summary detailing the main findings, conclusions and key recommendations is provided at the front of the report.
