Budget 2008 - Supports for Families and Children

- Child Benefit lower and higher rates to increase to €166 and €203 per month benefiting 1.17 million children.
- Qualified Child Allowance to increase by €2 to €24 per week.
- Additional €2 million funding for School Meals Scheme.
- All FIS thresholds to increase by €10 per week per child.
- Back to School Clothing and Footwear Scheme will increase by €20 per child.
- Early Childcare Supplement will increase by €100 per child per year.
