Main Social Welfare Improvements - Budget 2003
- €10 increase for Pensioners
- Special €11 per week increase for Widows & Widowers aged 66 and over on Contributory Pensions
- €8 and €10 increases in Child Benefit – effective from April 2003
- €7 increase for widows & widowers under age 66, carers & people getting Invalidity pensions under age 65
- €6 per week increase for people on Other Payments
- €100 increase in Respite Care Grant & Increase in Income Disregard for Carer’s Allowance
- All weekly increases effective from January 2003
