Dental, Optical and Hearing Benefits
Treatment Benefit is a scheme that may allow you to qualify for
- Dental benefit
- Optical benefit
- Contact lenses, or
- Hearing Aids
You may also receive Treatment Benefit for treatment carried out in other European Union (EU) member states. To qualify for Treatment Benefit you must satisfy the Pay Related Social Insurance conditions.
Dental Benefit pays some of the cost of different dental treatments.
Optical Benefit pays some of the cost of optical treatments
From 01/01/2012, the Department pays up to half the cost of a hearing aid or repairs to a hearing aid subject to a fixed maximum of €500.00 for one hearing aid and €1,000.00 for 2 hearing aids.
