Adoptive Benefit

Adoptive Benefit is a payment for an adopting parent who adopts a child. You may get it if you are an employee or a self-employed person and if you satisfy certain PRSI conditions on your own record

Child Benefit

Child Benefit is a monthly payment for each qualified child normally living with you and being supported by you.

Early Childhood Care and Education

Family Income Supplement

Family Income Supplement (FIS) is a weekly payment for families, including one parent families, at work on low pay. It is not subject to income tax and does not affect whether you can get a medical card.  In order to qualify for Family Income Supplement, either you or your spouse must be engaged in insurable employment.

Guardian’s Payment (Contributory)

An Orphan may get Guardian's Payment (Contributory) based on their parent's or step-parent's PRSI contributions. The guardian of the orphan(s) gets the payment.”

Guardian’s Payment (Non-Contributory) 

 
An orphan may get Guardian's Payment (Non-contributory), based on the orphan's means test.  The guardian of the orphan(s) gets the payment.
