Registering a death

To obtain a death certificate the death must be registered. When registering a death you will need the deceased person's PPS No. If you do not have their PPS No. contact your local Social Welfare Office. Further information on registering a death is available on the internet at:

You can get a death certificate from the Superintendent of Births, Deaths and Marriages (in your area) or from:

General Register Office
Government Offices
Convent Road
Roscommon
