You are required to have your own doctor complete a medical report, which is part of the application form, on your medical condition. This report is desk reviewed by one of the Department’s Medical Assessors. The Medical Assessor is a registered doctor who will give the deciding officer an opinion on your medical condition based on the medical report on your application form. It is open to you to submit additional medical evidence e.g. consultants’ reports, results of investigations, and any other relevant information with your application which also will be reviewed by a Medical Assessor.
