What does "habitual residence" mean?

Habitual residence means you have a proven close link to Ireland. If you have lived in Ireland all your life, you will probably have no difficulty showing that you satisfy the factors which indicates habitual residence.

Residence in other parts of the Common Travel Area will also be counted in considering these factors.

You may satisfy the habitual residence condition even if you have not lived in Ireland or other parts of the common travel area for all of your life.
